
There are any number of reasons for taking a sauna – we’ve listed a few below. The thing is that old style saunas, with hot rocks and a bucket of water to create steam, are a bit of a faff and sort of a bit naff. That means you won’t be sharing it with other perspiring bodies as it’s a private room, where you can lock yourself away from the workaday world for a while, designed to promote a very Zen experience. It’s quite luxuriously appointed with two beds (the sauna is ideal for couples as well as individuals) to relax on, comfy chairs, the wherewithal to make a cup of herbal tea, and water to rehydrate. This is all good because, certainly to start with, you’ll almost certainly want spells of no more than 20 minutes actually in the sauna. When it’s time to get out of the heat and get ready to go home, there’s a really good strong waterfall shower and fluffy towels.
