Breathe easier, sleep better, and feel more like yourself with Salt Therapy

Halotherapy at Bodywise Boutique Wellness in Warnham, near Horsham. 45 minutes. Completely passive. Simply sit back, breathe normally, and let the salt do the work. Available as single sessions, blocks of 8, or monthly membership.

What Is Salt Therapy?

A natural wellness experience you simply relax through

Salt Therapy, also known as halotherapy, involves spending time in a room where fine dry salt particles are dispersed into the air. Clients relax comfortably in our dedicated salt room while the microparticles are inhaled and settle on the skin, supporting respiratory function, skin health, relaxation, and recovery.

The experience is entirely passive. No special clothing, no equipment, no fitness level required. You simply sit, breathe normally, and relax for 45 minutes. Many people find the sessions deeply calming and leave feeling clearer and more settled than when they arrived.

Salt Therapy is still relatively uncommon in the UK, which means many people who would benefit from it have simply never had the opportunity to try it. As one of the few dedicated facilities in the region, Bodywise is proud to offer this service to the local community.

Who Salt Therapy Can Support

Salt Therapy is suitable for adults of all ages and fitness levels

People typically come to Salt Therapy looking for natural, complementary support for one or more of the following:

  • Respiratory health: asthma, hay fever, allergies, sinus congestion, bronchitis, and general breathing difficulties
  • Skin health: eczema, psoriasis, acne, and dry or irritated skin
Relaxation and stress relief: reducing tension, improving sleep, and creating a regular wellness habit
  • Recovery: supporting the body between exercise sessions or during illness recovery
  • General wellbeing: feeling more rested, more settled, and more energised

Salt Therapy is not a medical treatment and does not replace advice from a healthcare professional. It is a natural, evidence-informed wellness experience that many people find complements their existing healthcare and lifestyle routines.

What to Expect

Everything you need to know before your first session

Before your session

Before attending for the first time, all clients complete a simple health questionnaire (PAR-Q) to ensure Salt Therapy is appropriate for them. No appointment is needed for this, and the process is straightforward.

During your session

Sessions last 45 minutes. You will sit comfortably in our salt room while fine dry salt particles are distributed into the air by our halogenerator. The room is quiet, calm, and designed for relaxation. You can bring a book, listen to music with earphones, or simply rest. No special clothing is needed, although we ask that you avoid strong perfumes or lotions before the session.

After your session

Most people notice a feeling of calm and clarity immediately after their session. Some feel a mild clearing sensation in the airways. Results build over a course of sessions, and most people find that regular attendance produces the strongest benefits.
